First,
about our Parent Organization ...
The American Cruisers Motorcycle Club (ACMC),
formerly American Cruisers Alliance, Inc. (ACA) was
founded on July 12, 2002 in Southern California with the filing of our
incorporation papers. The ACMC is not organized for the private gain of any person. The
specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are to provide
charitable assistance and relief of the poor, distressed or underprivileged,
and to provide charitable assistance and support to other established
nonprofit charitable organizations which have established their tax-exempt
status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. |

Chapter 54 was initially formed in August 5,
2000 by 7 members. The club originally was part of the American
Cruisers Association, which was re-organized into the ACA by all Chapters vote in 2002,
and finally into ACMC in February 2006. As a
result, Chapter 54 is a founding chapter of the new organization, and boasts
one of the oldest chapters of the American Cruisers Motorcycle Club in the nation
today. We are a rapidly growing group with a large variety of people
involved, from business owners to retirees, shipyard workers to college
students. We range in age from 18 to 65, and hail from Gloucester to
Wakefield to Virginia Beach. We ride Hondas, Suzukis, Customs,
Harleys, Yamahas, Kawasakis, virtually all makes and both cruisers and sport
bikes. We ride because we like it, and we enjoy riding together.
Our club
hosts one ride every year, the EDMARC run to help provide money for those
supporting this Children's Hospice. In addition, members visit with
the children once or twice a year, and the children love riding and admiring
the bikes. Truly a winning combination for both us and the children!
